Working for a brand where stuffy titles are off limits Alice has adopted the byline ‘Clandestine artist, junkshop raider & planner extraordinaire’.

The newest addition to the Saben brand Alice is putting her broad skill set to use and is a ‘jack of all trades’ jumping between a range of tasks from office management to relationship building.

Alice’s career path has been incredibly varied but engaging with people has always been a constant. Having trained and practiced as a registered nurse, she developed a skill set that serves her well in her current role – particularly time management, prioritising tasks, being empathetic and understanding different cultures.

After transitioning to the retail industry (having worked in cafes and an Art gallery in between) Alice landed a role with a major department store as a Buyer and Merchandiser. On moving back to New Zealand she stayed in a similar line of work as a Senior Assistant Buyer. By chance, her employer at the time went on to carry a diffusion range of Saben pieces and Alice gained exposure and a real passion for the brand.

Having worked in highly structured corporate environments Alice really appreciates the freedom, creativity and transparency her current role offers. The combination of these factors and her love of the Saben brand makes this in her own words “the dream role”.
