About the Role:
Often providing accounting and commercial support to a key business unit within a company, the Assistant Accountant is responsible for ensuring that account’s are kept in order. This role often has involvement with other areas of the business in order to maintain efficiency between departments.
Responsibilities can include:
Banking and Daily cash reconciliations
Eftpos receipts and allocations
Visa card processing
Offering support to other people within in team
Cash Receipts in bank – processed daily
Organise for stock takes and data to be uploaded
Stock transfers/adjustments and Purchase orders
Keeping asset registers updated
Vehicle Registrations and maintenance up to date
Prepare daily and monthly financial analysis and reporting
Assist with month end and year end close routines and related reconciliations
A person in the role will have prior experience in other accounting functions. They will be excellent at building relationships within the business and with external contacts and have impeccable time management and prioritizing skills.
