About the Role:
Retailers are often large businesses and can have thousands of staff – this person is responsible for ensuring that staff pays are carried out correctly and on time.
Responsibilities can include:
Cash flow management and projections
Profit and loss reporting
Stock control and reconciliation
Variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Management of staff within the team
Developing and implementing policies and procedures
Financial Controllers will generally have vast experience and knowledge across different facets of the function; they will often be Chartered Accountants (CA) that also has strong familiarity regarding legislative framework.
